Research

We believe that community capacity and social impact can be enhanced through quality research that provides greater understanding of community need, best practice strategies, opportunities for impact and challenges for implementation.

We use different research methodologies, depending on the research need, finding the right approach on a project-by-project basis.

Examples of our recent research work include:

  • Literature review of best and promising practices for social inclusion of vulnerable seniors (Prepared for FCSS Calgary) (2015)  Full Report

  • Literature review of best and promising practices for prevention of domestic violence (Prepared for FCSS Calgary) (2014) Full Report

Program Design

We support organizations with the program design or redesign process including background, need and best practice research, an exploration of program goals and assumptions, creation of a detailed logic model and theory of change, and development of an evaluation plan.

Since program designs are part of internal strategic planning and program alignment, we aren't able to share examples of our work publicly.  Please contact us for examples of our work with organizations such as Carya Calgary, Catholic Family Services, Spinal Cord Injury Alberta, the Calgary Epilepsy Association and others.
